Rebecca Abroe was a company member with Myron Johnson’s Ballet of the Dolls for over 7 years. A frequent performer with Sole to Soul Dance Conversion, Rebecca will be appearing again this winter in Lily Verlaine’s Burlesque Nutcracker, “Visions of Sugarplums”. She is thrilled to be joining COLLIDE’s production of “Dracula”.
Rush Benson has been Flying his feet with the Foot Forum since 2013. Inspired by funk and unlocking the human potential to groove, he teaches tap and jazz at Zenon School of Dance. Rush has performed at the Guthrie Theater (“The Music Man”), Bloomington Civic Theater (“La Cage Aux Follies”) as well as with James Sewell Ballet and Collide Theatrical Dance Company (“Romeo & Juliet” and “Zoot Suit Riots”). Heather Cadigan Brockman
Heather Cadigan Brockman has been dancing since the sweet age of seven. Originally from Colorado, she is a graduate of Macalester College. Heather had the privilege of studying, dancing and performing with the Ballet of the Dolls company for nearly 20 years. She is grateful and excited about the opportunity to perform as a guest artist with COLLIDE this season and to share the stage with another amazing group of talented performers. As always, she thanks her husband John and her girl gang for their constant love and support.
Jennifer Mack is a former company member of St. Paul City Ballet, Continental Ballet and Alternative Motion Project. This includes performing all over the US, Canada and Europe for over 15 years with: Borealis Dance, Cathy Wright, Christopher Watson Dance Company, Cities Classical Dance Ensemble, Curio Dance, Dance & Other Behaviors, Debra-Jinza Thayer’s Movement Architecture, Dwight Rhoden, Eclectic Edge Ensemble, James Sewell Ballet, Jagged Edges Ensemble, Jodi Melnick, Live Action Set, Moving Arts Ensemble, Kim Robbard’s Dance Company, MN Opera, Offleash Area, Rainy Day Cabaret, Ray Terrill & Dancers, Rosy Simas Dance Project, Spandrel, Szeged National Ballet, Vanessa Voskuil, and Vox Medusa Dance Company.
A native Canadian, Andrea has performed throughout North America, Europe and Southeast Asia over the past two decades. Stage credits include: Cirque du Soleil’s “Viva Elvis,” “Chicago” International tour (June/Velma and Mama Morton u.s), Celine Dion’s “A New Day,” “White Christmas” (Judy Haynes/Ensemble/Dance Capt), “Peter Pan” (Tiger Lily). Royal Winnipeg Ballet: “Giselle,” “Swan Lake,” “La Bayadère,” “Nutcracker,” “Serenade,” “Don Quixote.” Television: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Oprah,” “Ellen,” “The Wayne Brady Show,” “Let’s Make a Deal,” “World Music Awards,” “Larry King Live,” “A&E Biography,” “The Toy Castle.” She currently teaches at St. Paul Ballet and loves being a mom to her little boy, Miles.
Alannah has been dancing for 24 years; she received training from Larkin Dance Studio and The Dance Shoppe and grew up competing at many dance competitions locally and nationally. Alannah is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and is now continuing her mother’s legacy as a dance teacher and choreographer at Northland School of Dance. Alannah has appeared in COLLIDE’s past productions of “The Belmont Hotel,” “Romeo & Juliet,” “Class of ‘85,” “Zoot Suit Riots,” “CLU” and “Dracula.” Alannah has also performed at the Old Log Theatre in their Summer 2015 production of “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”
Jami Snively is excited to be dancing in her fifth show with Collide! Jami performed in “Class of ’85,” “Zoot Suit Riots,” “CLU,” and “Dracula.” She appeared in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” at Old Log Theater. Jami has also danced with Schaumburg Dance Ensemble and The Kate Jablonski Statement.
Katie Taintor (Company Apprentice)
Katie Taintor is a dancer, singer, and choreographer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. After 4 years of living in New York City, she is excited to be back in her home state and dancing with COLLIDE. Having worked regionally throughout the Twin Cities, as well as throughout the tri-state area, her favorite past credits include: “A Chorus Line,” NY Couture Fashion Week, “The Mandatory World Tour with ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic” at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, and “The Blue Jar” off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York.
Riley Thomas Weber
Riley has performed lead roles in COLLIDE’s productions of “Romeo & Juliet” (Mercutio), “Class of ’85,″ “Zoot Suit Riots,” “CLU” and “Dracula.” He has danced as a Soloist and Principal dancer with Saint Paul City Ballet, Continental Ballet, Cities Classical Dance Ensemble and Ballet Minnesota. He has been the Ballet Master for the Mankato Ballet Company since 2011. Riley received his degree in Dance from the University of Minnesota in 2013.
