Where Story and Dance...
COLLIDE

Our Story

Collide Theatrical Dance was founded in 2013 by dancer, choreographer, and actor Regina Peluso, who saw an opportunity to introduce a fresh blend of storytelling dance theater to the Twin Cities. Our name reflects our signature “collision” of jazz, hip-hop, ballet, tap, and other contemporary movement with popular music and powerful stories. From reimagined classics (Romeo & Juliet) to original works exploring themes like mental health (Wonderland) and female empowerment (Bonnie and Clyde), our shows celebrate the shared human experience through high-energy performances that speak to the heart.

Since our founding, we’ve produced over 40 mainstage productions and brought the joy of dance to schools, senior centers, and communities across Minnesota.

Collide dancers draw inspiration from iconic choreographers like Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins, Pepsi Bethel, Jojo Smith, and Cholley Atkins—as well as countless unnamed artists whose passion and innovation shaped dance into the universal language it is today. We are grateful to these pioneers of dance, and to the audiences who continue to share in the experience.
